“For the past 3 years, we have had the WIFFLE Fall Classic to raise money for The T21 Club of the Delaware Valley and Down Syndrome Awareness. This year will raise money for a different cause. Earlier this year, my very close friend’s 3 year old son Blaise was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer found in his femur. Blaise is a happy, smart, sweet little boy who brings joy to his parents, Annie and Andrew, and his little sister Lucy. The funds raised from this year’s WIFFLE Fall Classic will help offset the cost of Blaise’s treatment. Blaise became a local celebrity when he was surprised by two NCAA National Champion Villanova Wildcats, Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu. There’s the “King of All Media” (Howard Stern), the “King of Rock and Roll” (Elvis Presley), the “King of Pop” (Michael Jackson), and the “King of Swing” (Benny Goodman). After trying out this new WIFFLE ball bat, we’d like to propose that “King of THE Swing” be added to this list. Moonshot Bats would take this title, without question! The FLeX is their new line of WIFFLE ball bat that should be available online soon and we HIGHLY recommend it!

You pick up this bat (The FLeX) and feel like you will never lose a game of WIFFLE ball again! The feel, the swing, the grip (we officially love Lizard Skins), the weight (this is by far the lightest bat we’ve ever had our hands on)… everything about this bat is perfect. We’ve had to opportunity of using Moonshot Bats in the past and have never been disappointed. Well, they did it again because we feel as though this is their best yet! The FLeX that we were able to try is their “fast pitch” version… there will also be a “medium/slow pitch” version coming out as well.

With this bat in your hands, you automatically have the upper hand against pitchers and other teams (unless of course they have The FLeX as well). This past weekend was Play Ball Weekend around the MLB and 5 out of the 30 professional baseball teams gave out a total of 320,000 plastic bats and balls. Most of us would call them WIFFLE ball bats and balls although they were not the standard yellow bat and 8 holed ball. Love this idea to give away theses bats and balls to kids 14 and under and get them out of the house! Hopefully we’ll be seeing more WIFFLE ball games played in parks, backyards, and neighborhood streets! So we’d like to extend a huge shout out to the Los Angeles Dodgers, Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, Minnesota Twins, and the New York Yankees! Yasiel Puig and Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers even hosted a WIFFLE ball game on Venice Beach with a bunch of kids.

Just wish they would’ve allowed us, “kids at heart,” that are over 14 to have a chance at taking one of these awesome giveaways home!

With WIFFLE® ball season just around the corner, there are many leagues and tournaments popping up all over the country! GSWL is back with a new format and is opening it’s door to the national championship to any WIFFLE® team in the country that plays in any tournament, league, or even backyard game! There are so many leagues across the nation affiliated with the NWLA that it would be near impossible to name them all, but opening day for the majority of these leagues are already scheduled, as teams look to earn a spot to the NWLA Tournament.  Palisades is back for the 2016 season and is expected to be bigger than ever. Coming out of nowhere is the resurgence of Fast Plastic! Once the top league in the nation, Fast Plastic has been AWOL for a while, but is back and trying to gain the top spot once again.  Finally, we have Wiffleworks, a new name for the sport of WIFFLE® that is becoming known very quickly!  Wiffleworks is not a league, but they host a tournament nearly every weekend in different areas of Florida.  To find dates to all of these opening days and tournaments (plus many we didn’t get to mention), go to our homepage.  It looks like it’s going to be another great year of wiffs and I know Way Too Beautiful will be attending a few of these… will you!?
