Electric City WIFFLE

/ milzy26 / 2 Comments

They’re backkkkkkkk! Some of you may remember Hess Field WIFFLE Ball…

If you don’t, let me refresh your memory:

Well, they’re back for the first time in years, with a new league, Electric City WIFFLE.

With the new league comes some old faces, some new faces, but most importantly…

SICK jerseys!!!

Electric City WIFFLE has hit the ground running in their inaugural season! Quite literally too, as they are a medium pitch, yellow bat, run the bases league.

Before the season started, the odds on favorite to win the league had to be the Arm Barn, but by the looks of things, it’s the Downstate Xecutioners that currently hold the best record at 13-2.

Here’s some week 1 highlights:

With the season a little more than halfway over, things are shaping up to have an ELECTRIC ⚡ finish!

Be sure to follow all of their social media accounts so you can stay up to date with any and all things Electric City! Including this weekend as they travel to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete in the NWLA Tournament against 11 other teams from across the country.

They’re absolutely worth a follow, because you never know when you’ll catch their next viral wiffs video before anyone else! 👀⚡👀

Fast Plastic

Fast Plastic made its comeback this past weekend and with style, hosting the Fast Plastic Texas Open. Teams traveled from all over the country in hopes to win this national championship! The pictures and videos absolutely made us jealous we weren’t there! Hopefully this is only the beginning for Fast Plastic’s return. We’d sure love to compete in AT LEAST the Texas Open next year.

A huge congratulations goes out to our friends Sean Steffy (aka WIFFLEBoy28), Ed Packer, Kevin Norris, and Tyler Wegrzyn of Cloud9 WIFFLE for taking home the Fast Plastic National Championship!

Lately there have been some viral videos going around about Golden Stick WIFFLE Ball, which just so happens to be the league that we’ve been playing in since 2010. In a video released by Cheddar, just this past Friday, Way Too Beautiful‘s own Adam Milsted and Ian Crosby make a couple short appearances. The clips they’re in are from the 2011 Yard Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada and the 2013 Fast Pitch Open in Savannah, Georgia.

All in all, this is just another step towards getting WIFFLE on the map! Keep up the good work GSWL. The more viral videos, the better for the sport!

We’ve posted the video below… enjoy!
